Engineered quartz gives you consistent color and pattern across the whole top, with performance that explains why it has taken over the modern kitchen.

Why quartz

All the good looks, none of the yearly upkeep.

Quartz is non-porous, so it resists stains and moisture without ever needing sealing. It is highly resistant to scratches, cuts, chipping, and heat — resistant, not invincible, which is why the care list below is so short.

Never needs sealing

Non-porous through and through — no yearly ritual, no worrying about wine, coffee, or beet juice.

Consistent by design

Engineered stone means the sample you pick is the top you get, edge to edge.

Five lines to browse

Living with it

Quartz care fits on an index card.

The everyday routine

  • Clean with plain soap and water — that maintains the original gloss and sheen.
  • Wipe spills promptly, especially fruit and vegetable debris, to prevent any discoloration.
  • Use cutting boards and trivets; quartz handles normal cooking exposure, but skillets and crock-pots straight off high heat deserve a pad.

Worth avoiding

  • Abrasive cleaners and anything containing bleach.
  • Strong chemicals and solvents — paint strippers, nail polish remover, oven and drain cleaners, permanent markers, and other high-alkaline products.
  • Cutting directly on the surface, or dropping and dragging heavy objects across it.
  • Sudden extreme temperature swings, prolonged or instant.
